Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
The short version.
- Mega Merge has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
- We, Wildware Studios, do not run any servers that the game talks to. We never receive your data.
- Your progress is saved on your device. If you turn it on, Steam, Apple or Google back it up and run the leaderboards, under their own privacy policies.
- This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies.
Who we are
Wildware Studios makes Mega Merge. This policy covers the game on every platform it is sold on (Steam on Windows, the App Store on iPhone and iPad, and Google Play where available) and this website, wildwarestudios.com.
If you have a question about your privacy, email wildwarestudios@gmail.com.
What the game keeps on your device
The game saves these things on your own device so it can remember where you are:
- Your progress: level and XP, scores, the history of your runs, cards and items you have unlocked, and your Seed and pack balances.
- Records of things you have bought in the game, so they are not lost (the store's order numbers, not any payment details).
- A random install code. It is made on your device, is not linked to you, and is only used to keep your Seed balance straight between devices.
- Which country your App Store or Google Play account is in, so the game only offers items that are allowed to be sold there.
- Your settings, and whether you want daily reminders.
- On computers only: if the game crashes, it writes a crash report to a file on your computer. It holds your operating system, graphics card and memory details and what the game was doing. It is never sent anywhere. You can send it to us yourself if you want help.
What goes to Steam, Apple or Google
The game uses services built into the platform you play on. We do not get a copy of anything they collect. Each one is covered by that company's own privacy policy.
Steam (Valve)
- Leaderboards: when you finish a run, your score and the game's version number are sent to Steam's leaderboards. Other players can see your Steam name and score there.
- Achievements are recorded on your Steam profile.
- Steam Cloud: if you have it switched on, your save file is backed up to Steam Cloud so it follows you between computers.
- Rich Presence: your Steam friends can see that you are playing and what you are doing, for example your current score.
Valve's privacy policy: store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement.
Apple (iPhone and iPad)
- Game Center: if you are signed in, your scores go to Game Center leaderboards and your achievements are recorded. Other players can see your Game Center name and score.
- iCloud: your save is backed up to your iCloud account so you can carry on, on another device.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, email address or payment details.
- Reminders: if you allow notifications, the daily reminders are set up on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to a push service.
- Photos: the game only asks to add to your photo library when you choose to save a picture of your daily result. It never reads your photos.
Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Google (Android)
On Android, Google Play Games backs up your save, and Google Play handles purchases. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
What the game does not do
- No account to make, and no name, email address, age or location asked for.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics, usage tracking or crash reporting sent to us or anyone else.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of your information, because we do not have it.
This website
wildwarestudios.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies. It is hosted by Heroku (Salesforce), whose servers keep standard technical logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the page asked for) for a short time to run and protect the service. We do not use those logs to identify anyone.
Links to Steam, Discord and app stores take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
If you contact us
If you email us or message us on Discord, we see what you send, along with your email address or Discord name. We use it only to answer you, and we delete support emails once the matter is settled, normally within a year. Under UK and EU data protection law, our reason for using it is our legitimate interest in answering your question.
Children
Mega Merge does not collect personal information from anyone, children included. In-app purchases on phones and tablets go through Apple's and Google's own parental controls, such as Ask to Buy and purchase approval.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your game data: uninstall the game. To remove backups too, turn off and clear Steam Cloud for the game in Steam, or delete the game's data under iCloud storage in your iPhone or iPad Settings.
- Leaderboards: sign out of Game Center to stop your name showing on the iPhone and iPad leaderboards.
- Notifications can be switched off in the game's settings or your device settings at any time.
- You have rights over any personal data we hold about you, including the right to see it, correct it or have it deleted. Since we only hold what you send us, email us and we will act on your request within one month. In the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts to handle information differently, we will update this page before that version comes out and change the date at the top.
